Distal sensory polyneuropathy is a type of peripheral neuropathy that affects the sensory nerves, typically beginning in the feet and legs. It often causes numbness, tingling, burning, or pain that may progress upward over time. This condition can result from a variety of causes, including diabetes, alcohol use, certain medications, and vitamin deficiencies. Early diagnosis and addressing the underlying cause are key to managing symptoms and preventing progression.

Bluewater Clinical Research Group is currently enrolling a clinical trial for adults with nerve pain associated with DSP. It will test if an investigational medicine may help improve nerve pain in people with nerve pain that started in the feet and is associated with DSP.
